We have
anchored off the coast of Graciosa. Now we can behold the green wheat fields which clothe endless rolling hills.
That delightful aroma so characteristic of he Azores is once again in the air. It is the
smell of summer. It is the smell of grain.

| Graciosa is part of the central group in the archipelago of Azores. According to some historians, Graciosa was discovered on May 3rd 1450, and its first inhabitant was Vasco Gil Sodré, a natural from Montemor-o-Velho. Its name is perfect to describe the urban society and the beautiful views of the Island Graciosa (Which means beautiful, happy, good, and so on...), fits this peaceful island perfectly. |
