I want my body to be buried in the local cemetery, on the island of Corvo, the smallest in the Azores. The people are gentle and kindhearted. The idea of being surrounded by such wonderful people after I die, appeals to me.

Corvo island is the smallest of them all and the remotest from all. Its a piece of a different world, its an island where there’s no time. The arrival and departure of Tio Augusto (the ferry Uncle Augusto) which regularly connects to the island of Flores, a two hour trip, is in fact the most notable event. Corvo has only one village, Vila Nova do Corvo.
